In anticipation of the upcoming change of presidency of the EU Council, Business Sweden organised a seminar in late November on patient access to rare disease treatments at the Swedish Embassy in Prague, Czech Republic, who holds the current presidency.
The purpose of the seminar, attended by health economists, decision makers, clinicians and patient organizations, was to exchange insights and ideas on the topic of Market Access and Health Economics of orphan drugs in Sweden and the Czech Republic.
Macanda’s Jonas Lindblom was invited to the seminar to present the orphan drug market access landscape in Sweden and the unique challenges that orphan drug companies and patients face in the value based Swedish setting.
